I am so excited! We have started doing something with our basement. We painted most of it this last week and we got a chair down there! Why is this so exciting? Well, because I had a table sitting downstairs that I wanted to use as my desk, but I have had no chair. Now that I am pregnant and it is summer I and we have no AC I like to go into the basement...the only place to sit though is on a little Zach/Spencer size couch. (Not at all comfortable.) So we picked up a cheap kitchen chair and I put a cushion on it and now I have a desk area!!
I have all kinds of plans for the basement. Brian and I are going to try and build small bookshelves for the toys and books and stuff, and I am going to put chalkboard squares on the walls. Ah, the simple pleasures.

Train Ride through Royal Gorge

There was a large fountain at a park where we ate lunch one day. The kids loved it!

Zach took Spencer away from the geese! He doesn't look too happy. Spencer spent a lot of time chasing the geese and we spent a lot of time chasing him!

Our Family Vacation to Canon City

This is the home that we stayed in. We decided to rent a house instead of staying at a hotel...it was sooo much better! This house was built in 1890! It might have been a little too big for us, but I would rather have it too big then it be too small. It was in a cute quite neighborhood, close to everything and it had a good size backyard that we enjoyed!

There are a ton of prisons in and around Canon City. Brian liked to joke about us on vacation in Canon City so that we could visit "Uncle Joe" in prison. (He did this loud enough so that people around us could hear!) Another one he liked when we would be passing the prison was, "Everyone wave to Grandpa!"

He wasn't quite sure what to do with a Frizbee. I sure he thought it was a big dinner plater or something!

Zoo Time!

This weekend we went to the zoo with Brian's cousins and their little boy Mattew. He is 6 months older then Spencer and they get along great. They absolutely loved the Hippo. We stayed at that exhibit for a while, neither boy wanted to leave it.

The hippo got really close! I didn't get a picture of that though, I was too busy chasing the stroller with Spencer in it. I had a blonde moment and forgot that I was keeping the stroller from rolling. It only rolled a few feet so don't worry!

Fourth of July

Isn't he a handsome boy! I am amazed at how big he is getting!

This is Zach with his Aunt Jaci sitting on top of Grandma and Grandpa's car.
We went up to Silverthorne with all the family to watch the fireworks over Lake Dillion. It was really fun. I thought that Spencer would be scared but they were far enough away that he just fell asleep instead!
